The context

Examath 5-8, a mathematical cognition assessment program for 5-8 year olds is the subject of a long article published in Orthomagazine n°157 (Nov-Dec 2021).

Christel Helloin and Anne Lafay, the co-authors, present evidence and recommendations intended for speech therapists and pathologists to discuss the calibration, evaluation, and diagnostic processes of the assessment.

Examath 5-8 is a mathematical cognition assessment software available on the Happyneuron platform, a Humans Matter product. It is intended to evaluate numerical representations and behaviors, calculation, problem solving, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and specific lexicon in children from kindergarten to second grade, who are beginning the formal learning of mathematics.
